ME VS. THE FROG PRINCESS

The story I chose was definitely chosen for some reason (even if I did not realize it), the choice could not be random. Probably there are a certain topic or features of the main character that caught me, made me reflect on myself, maybe there are some similarities.

I guess the main topic of this story for me (perhaps the most interesting and relatable one for me personally) is the topic of competition, comparison between people, jealousy. The way the Frog Princess reacts to these obstacles and situations is absolutely perfect, even not believable (she is too perfect to be an ordinary person - and she is not, she is kind of a magical creature). She always keeps calm, without comparing herself to others. This is something that I definitely dream to achieve and something really hard for me.

If I was on her place, I would have opposite reactions, I guess. For me, the topic of self-doubts and comparison with others is very emotional, personal and important. One of the main reasons of my anxiety is always questioning myself, thinking that "I might not be good enough", "I want to be the best", "what do others think about me?".

I think that is one of the themes that I can tell the world about myself. I do not think that it is THE MOST important feature of me or the main message of my life, but I do think it is personal, it is something I want to reflect on and to share. Also I still want and am able to connect it to my culture, Russian fairy tale, use traditional Russian crafts in it, so I guess it would be a nice artifact combining my own "problem", my personal feelings and folklore of my country.
