kim and kanye

Kim Kardashian West has been under the public eye for many years starting keeping up with the Kardashians series in October of 2007 and finishing 20 seasons later in 2021. we have seen her style through houses change dramatically from the maximalist to the minimalist style. this style has been demonstrated through both Kim and Kanye brands as well.

Through a few interviews we have found out snipits of ‘kimayes’ family home. since buying the classic american mansion to transforming it in to a belgium demestic arcitecture designed by axel vervoordt. this minimalsitic home was designed with there 4 children in mind as it is meant to make them use their imagenation when talking about His home Kanye references that it is a futuristic Belgium monastery, saying that “it, is a story of probing and passion” which celebrates the iconoclastic mind and fearlessness of both Kim and Kanye. As we know through Kanye’s music he is a very religious and spiritual person which builds the idea that he wanted a place that was a sanctuary away from everything else, just like the monks lived without materialistic items around them and they just focused on their bond with God and themselves through meditation. which I believe is how Kanye lives his own life and what Kim has also learnt since being held at gunpoint for her jewellery at Paris fashion week. Kim and Kanye both live extravagant lifestyles, with 4 kids and many business ventures. This means that when they come home from a whirlwind of colours that have a sanctuary where they can reset and relax, there is a contrast in the home with their daily lives. White and natural tones are used in the space to promote clarity and tranquillity in the mind as well as relieving anxiety in the space. It is also designed so that the framework of the home is domestic artwork and will always be in trend.

in a sense the house is homely it might not be the typical soft furnishings with family photos on the wall but everything they owned before is still in the home just hidden from everyone else because surprisingly Kim and Kanye are both private people who don’t show off all there home, mainly because it is for security in their home so the everyday person doesn’t know everything about there personal space. All of the space around his family and children in mind as they have a big extended family this meant that everywhere is safe for the children to play and run around in.When Kanye says ‘the proportions are the decoration,’ in the home this reassures the practice that the framework and style of the home is the artwork meaning that not that many decorations are needed in the space which is one of the key ideas in a minimalistic design that the practical object is the artwork the light also changes the way that space is throughout the day casting different colourful light around the space. since working the home they have furniture that has purpose and Kim takes’ real pride now in knowing what we have and why it’s important.” which once again emphasises that the furniture they have they have to serve a purpose and reason. In a sense, the home is a type of advertisement, Kim and Kanye’s style is projected on most if not all of their parts of life especialliy in a business as Kim has many different lines from body shaping clothing and sunglasses to makeup and skincare. These brands have the same colour neutral packaging linking through all of them. As Kim has a massive social media presence this means that she is always promoting her own or other family members products and can do this anywhere in her home so that the products have a neutral backdrop with lots of natural light. In western society is one of the most interfering society, whether they are judging personality, materialistic items and social ideas. Normally this is a form of escapism from the mundane everyday life that the normal person leads. in this case, we want to know what, where and who Kim is with as she has become a household name. people continually compare themselves with other people and their lives which are normally portrayed through social media, especially how social media is bringing millions to young people and making them famous through viral videos, this puts pressure on people who are double their age to work harder because they know that an 18-year-old on Tiktok or youtube is earning more than them.
