What is culture today?

Culture is one of the biggest and most complex words in the English language as it has attachments to everything from science to media to design.

Culture today is very different to the past most people in throughout history have thought Culture is only the 'practices of art and intellectual activity' unlike now where people believe that everything that we do as human beings is a culture. however, these things can be but into a hierarchy being categorised from everyday practices, entertainment and high culture ( ballet, opera and fine art all fall into this category).

Some people believe that culture should only be determined by critics and the professional and not everyday public as they can believe that anything is a culture which in my opinion is right as everyone's culture is different depending on the location, time and class. some might not agree with the location as people who are interested in arts arent all from one place In the world as they form an invisible tribe around the world. sure there maybe be small bubbles of places where people who enjoy a certain culture move too, for example, Shoreditch in London is a very creative place to be alternatively Brixton where it has been said it is the unofficial capital of British African - Caribbean people.

in science, they believe that culture is what you inherit that doesn't come from your genes.
