Confine or Free Yourself (Words that Confine vs Expand)

When was the last time you said, “I SHOULD” or “I HAVE TO”?

How would it feel to replace those words with, “I GET TO” and “I CHOOSE TO”?

Words have tremendous unconscious power. Many words we use each day subtly confine us, leaving us feeling trapped, boxed in, and judged. Conversely, more expansive words warmly free us, helping us feel safe, gain perspective, inspire growth and greater consciousness, and enable our fullest expression. All without our awareness.

I am exploring the words we use in everyday language, combining my background in psychology with visual art to create two contrasting images designed to convey the emotional experiences the words subconsciously invoke, showcasing the power of language to either limit or empower us!
