POP ART

Post world war 2, artists began looking at everyday objects in a different way, they took everyday objects and reproduced, juxtaposed and repeated them in their work, whether they were attempting to make the public look at everyday objects in a different way, or commenting on the industry and celebrity world, the public didn't respond well to this new art movement, claiming that it was not art at all.

“Andy warhol - Pop artists did images that anyone walking down the street would recognize in a split second—comics, picnic tables, men’s pants, celebrities, refrigerators, Coke bottles.”
