The ambience at Kimchee isn't like a typical Korean restaurant. The vibe feels fancier because of their attractive furniture, table settings, lighting and containers. From leather sofa's in the basement lounge, to beautifully detailed thick paper napkins, the food is also just as attractive. The ambience sticks to a more neutral color scheme, but the food is more colourful which I liked because the ambience and decor didn't distract from the appearance of the food. The group that I ate with, as well as myself, was not pleased by the beautiful lanterns in the middle of the tables since they cannot be moved. We found it annoying and in the way when it came to sharing food and conversation.
