Tiffany Rowe: crea-tiff - bijoux
Rowe creates wearable art, often with parishable items like fruit and flowers, only existing long enough to be photographed. She gives a second life to objects that are not normally seen worn as jewellery.
The moment I saw her pieces I was drawn in, and curious to explore more of her work. I think her jewellery is interesting because the materials she uses are not often seen worn on the body. She displays them and arranges them in ways that are unexpected, sometimes by spreading them out over a section of the body, or squeezing in multiples of one type of object on one area of the body. I enjoy her use of texture with foods that are waiting to be consumed as well as the shells of already enjoyed food. These textures provide depth and offer an increased level of drama in a clean and simple way.
