Today we had Soldering workshop in which we created miniature hospital beds. Soldering was an entirely new skill to me and I therefore struggled significantly with the technique needed to solder the pieces of wire together. The workshop was extremely time consuming but I found it to be very informative, as it highlighted the immense amount time and effort needed to make pieces for model sets. Unfortunately I was pushed for time so my model ended up being slightly wonky- however I found this added to the charm of my hospital bed by making it look more run down. Despite the bed not being directly relevant to what I will be making, I enjoyed learning a new skill.
