Aaron Moran is a visual artist based in Metro Vancouver. He practises in sculpture, photography, installation and print. Moran's sculptural work is solely influenced by discarded materials such as scrap wood found in his environment.
I am mostly struck by the artist's sculptural work, which has a combination of graphic, rustic and geometric elements to it. Shapes the artist uses within his work remind me of the structure and idea of the digital retro game Tetris because of how the forms within somehow always link and fit in together perfectly, which then creates intriguing patterns and colour combinations.
