I like how this series looks at different parts of society to see how people are living off the grid and the reasons why. Like in this example, the family has no running water, no indoor plumbing, no electricity, no connectivity, yet they feel more connected living in the woods, than they did when they were living like a 'normal' family as a part of society. I find it really interesting how the wife started planting the seeds about the idea, then the husband decided to take the leap of faith and go for it. They have found ways on their own to build all of the structures, as well as little ways of producing quality soil by creating a compost with worms.
