These are the specific lines from the song "Civil War" by Guns n Roses, that I decided to generate visual imagery from in the form of print. The song is a general political commentary against war and I decided to literally interpret one of the sarcastic metaphors found within the lyrics. The soldier is on a rack with a price tag indicating his cost, ready to be consumed, juxtaposed with the loud yellow circle, reminiscent of those used in supermarket advertisements, thus adding to the sardonic message.

I decided that the screenprinting process was appropriate for the kind of image I wanted, and experimented with a slight shift in the print for the soldier, overlapping lighter green with a darker shade. This resulted in an interesting 3D effect.
