# 5 October | Reflection by Sofia Caccamo

Today we reflected on our research and developed our ideas from that. One of the artists that interested me the most was Thomas Medicus who encased branches in glass/plastic structures. The thing that interested me the most was the geometric shapes his piece had and replication of the triangle also reflecting on my visual dictionary word which stood out the most to me which was tessellated. We chose three words to reflect sections of the research that stood out the most to us. I chose replication, crumpled and depressions. I then created 3D models from paper to represent these and drew from them to develop them further. Through drawing I created a preference to the model that represented replication. This was because I thought it had the most variations to develop further. I then used the triangular shape to create four different architectural sketch models. These then became my initial designs that I was to develop further into a final design.
