Today, I had access to the print workshop so I decided to create screen prints of the shapes present in my sketchbook. A liquid floor tile that is located in the library inspired the print that I cut out. The liquid trapped in-between the two surfaces reminded me of close up of cells so I cut out similar shapes to the liquid.
I started off using blue because I wanted to get the basics of how to screen print. But after many attempts I knew that I wanted to mix and incorporate other colours. I decided to create screen prints with blue and orange and then shortly I moved on to calico fabric. I enjoyed this workshop because it helped me to become more confident in screen-printing. After the successful prints I know that I want to develop them and hopefully include them in my final piece.
