Festival of Britain, pattern crystals

Paternity’s mission was to combine different disciplines and industries. 1“More than 60 years ago, at 1951’s landmark Festival of Britain, the designers involved turned to the sciences for inspiration – looking through the microscope to the patterns that lie beneath the surface.” William Odell created a wallpaper design based on forms and structures of boric acid. The design looks mathematical rather than scientific because of how accurate and well placed the shapes are.

Similar to William Odell, I would like to use a microscopic camera to help me create a print. However, my print will not be an exact copy but my own interpretation.
