I adore the soft yeet powerful shapes in Hepworth's work. I found 'A single form' in Battersea Park to be strangely very emotive. Although it was the smallest and most simplisitc piece of public art out of the three it had a power that i feel is translated through most of her work. The shapes even though quite basic are connected to the human body and so instantly you feel a connection. The cut outs in the sculptures kind of feel like empty faces which I find myself assinging to friends and family and people that I know who remind me of the sculptures in some way. It is this ability to relate to the sculptures which makes them so inspiring.
