We handed in our Project Proposals today and eight week plans. I feel like I have a good sense of direction now and am ready to get into the project. We had a list of tasks to complete today, to fuel some further research for our project. We looked for practitioners who are relevant to our concept - I found a book written by artist Nick Stewart called "no one's from everywhere" which had some good quotations and inspiration in. We wrote questions based on our concept and interviewed our peers (SEE BELOW). I found this a really useful exercise to gather quotations and start a discussion on this theme. I also decided to make a survey on my concept and have shared this on Facebook/twitter to get some more varied responses from different age groups and genders. I want to be able to use quotations from these interviews in posters and maybe my publication in the weeks to come. This afternoon I had a big brainstorm about visual language for my concept and I want to create a logo for my title "FUSION LONDON". I will continue this tomorrow and hope to have a logo which I can screen print ready for next week's screen print workshops.
