Roger Vilder's 2-dimensional work is very similar to the early digital artists that I have been looking at. But his work is important in exploring the translation from digital to physical pieces which the selected works showns. Firstly are his sculptural neon works, retaining their 3-dimensionality, while also having the neon suggest something technical and digital about the works. Of more importance are his anamorphic pieces shown below in he videos. Vilder solves the problem of taking the evolving gemotertic forms in digital videos and creating physical analogue versions.
